PSYCHEDELIC CAR & SIGN FABRICATION
A psychedelically painted Cadillac provided transportation and advertising for the original Electric Factory during the late 1960s. With the goal of creating our own psychedelic Cadillac the exhibition purchased a 1967 Cadillac which was painted by myself and members of the exhibition team following the lead of Collection Director Lynn Waddell. The car was painted by myself and members of the exhibition team with a design inspired by a guitar featured in the exhibition owned by Cream bassist Jack Bruce. That guitar was painted by a group of Scandinavian psychedelic artists known as the Fool Collective.
Sign fabricated for the Electrified: 50 Years of the Electric Factory Exhibition to replicate a vintage sign mounted on top of the original vehicle mentioned above. To maintain a more authentic look I painted the sign. Working quickly, from start to finish, the sign project was turned around over one weekend.
